SQ1 Con | 04 - Last Day in Town
I wish I could've stayed for a few more days.
All packed and ready to go.
First things first was food - we all slept in after the craziness that was SQ1, so we were starving by lunch time.
The main bowls are relatively small, so it's the usual here to have at least an appetizer to have a full meal.
Apple Store on Michigan Ave.
There was some public seating on the upper floor of the store. I've always liked spaces like this but now that I think about it, I also never really use them myself. I'm sure it helps the Apple store have more of a community presence though.
Even more seating down below. The leather rings on the tree planters double as benches, they're a nice touch. The planters themselves could pass for Apple products themselves.
Knolled wall displays. Beautiful.
We walked down the riverwalk towards the lakefront after that.
I had to lie down and take a break, the heavy backpack and luggage case were definitely not helping.
Way too hot, way too humid.
I don't know if these are common around Chicago, but I saw them at an intersection a block away from the Greyhound station. Instead of the usual icons, you'd see "DON'T WALK" and
"WALK" instead.
Back on the bus.
And about 12 hours later, finally back at home.
