Match stick sculpture
Of all the projects I have finished in my years in the CyberARTs program, this one is one of the most surprising. I never would have expected I would create a chair, nor how much I came to enjoy the project. My initial design was very different, but as I built up the chair a new direction appeared, guided by the structure of the match sticks themselves. In this way, my final product "emerged" from a sum of its parts.
