Google Gingerbread Pop-Up
There was another Google Home pop-up this year in Toronto for the last two weeks of November.
A few of these hanging Home Mini decorations were missing. I wonder if that means someone actually stole one.
Another prominent missing Mini.
Line took about 45 minutes.
And we’re finally inside.
This year you can quickly try out a bunch of booths to give the Home Minis some sample commands to control parts of the smart home.
6 people are allowed in at a time, and after everyone’s had a chance to look around they’re invited to the back where they can pick from a pile of boxes.
Of course, being as lucky as I am, the train that’s supposed to be bringing out the boxes for us broke down just before our group went in, and I was not in the special 16% that got a Mini. Instead one of the staff members came out carrying the boxes instead.
A consolatory cookie was in my box instead. Merry Christmas.
